Contract Extension for Marie-Louise Eta

1. FC Union Berlin and Marie-Louise Eta will continue their  work together in the future. Eta will become the head coach of the U19 side from the 2025/26 season, taking over from Marco Grote, who is leaving the club after three years.

The 33-year-old coach can already look back on two challenging years at Union, during which she worked as an assistant coach for the U19s as  well as the men's first team. She is currently working as an individual coach for the women's first team.

"My current focus is on helping the women to get promoted to the Bundesliga, and I will continue to give it my all until the end of the season." said Eta on the signing of her new contract. "I'm very happy that I'll be continuing at Union beyond that. A new, exciting challenge with a lot of responsibility awaits in the summer."

The youth academy head coach, Andre Hofschneider, said meanwhile: "Marie-Louise Eta is a coach who is a very good fit for us both professionally and personally. She has gained a lot of valuable experience in the last two years and will now lead a team for the first time with us. We are confident that she will continue the path we have taken with our A youths and look forward to continuing to work with her."
