Rani Khedira Banned for Three Matches

The German Football Association (DFB) have handed 1. FC Union Berlin midfielder Rani Khedira a three-match ban following his recent red card.

The German Football Association (DFB) have handed 1. FC Union Berlin midfielder Rani Khedira a three-match ban following his recent red card.

The 29-year-old was sent off in the 60th minute of Union's match away at SV Werder Bremen after a foul on opponent Romano Schmid. The Bremen midfielder was able to continue the game and also accepted Khedira's apology after the final whistle.

1. FC Union Berlin and Rani Khedira will not contest the sentence, which is therefore legally binding.
