How can I become a memer?
You can become a member by submitting a membership application. You can fill it out online or come to one of the Union Zeughaus stores.
What advantages does membership offer me?
- Co-determination and influence through the right to vote at general meetings
- Opportunity to become a member of the club's fan and members' association (FuMA)
- Right to buy tickets in advance (season tickets, home and away games, DFB Pokal)
- Exclusive scarf
Where can I find the statutes?
You can find our statutes and membership fee regulations online and in one of the Union Zeughaus stores.
What types of membership are there?
There are active and passive memberships. Active members are members who practice a sport within the club. Passive members do not practice any sport within the club. We also offer a family membership for passive members. You can find more information in this FAQ under the category “Questions about family membership”.
Is membership also possible for children and/or newborns?
Yes, as children do not yet have (full) legal capacity, their legal guardians must apply for membership. There is the option of registering children as members individually. Alternatively, adults who are already members can register their children as part of a family membership. Important: If it is to be a gift for newborns of acquaintances/friends or family members, a copy of the birth certificate and the written consent of the legal guardians must be obtained and enclosed in writing.
Payments
Can the membership fee also be debited from a non-German bank account?
No, unfortunately this is not possible. As soon as a non-German bank account is specified in the membership application, we will automatically switch the payment method to bank transfer.

Membership Card
When will I receive my membership card?
Your membership card will be sent by post no later than four weeks after confirmation of your membership.
As soon as you have become a member, you can also view your membership card digitally in the Union-app.
My membership card has an error. What can I do?
Please contact us by email at mitglieder@fc-union-berlin.de or by phone on 030/65 66 88 100 or come to one of the Union Zeughaus stores and let our colleagues know on site. We will correct the error and print out a new ID card for you.
What can I do if my membership card has been lost or stolen?
Please let us know as soon as you discover it by email at mitglieder@fc-union-berlin.de or by phone on 030/65 66 88 100. We will then block your card.
We will also be happy to issue you with a new ID card, for which a protection and processing fee of €10.00 will be charged. The best thing to do is to come to one of our Union Zeughaus stores. There you can usually take the card with you.
My membership card is no longer legible/cannot be scanned, what can I do?
Please come to one of the Union Zeughaus stores and let the staff there know. We will then print out a new card for you. If the ID card has been damaged due to negligent handling, we reserve the right to charge a processing fee of €10.00.
Member*s Tickets
As a member, am I guaranteed season tickets?
Unfortunately, not. The contingent of season tickets is limited and is lower than the current number of members.
My child has drawn a winning ticket, will I receive an accompaning ticket?
No, unfortunately we cannot provide accompanying tickets due to our limited ticket allocation.
Why can't I register for the prize draw even though I have already paid my arrea
It is possible that your payment has not yet been confirmed. Please contact us by email at mitglieder@fc-union-berlin.de or by telephone on 030/65 66 88 100.
Gifts
How do I get my welcome gift, the member scarf?
Upon presentation of your membership card, you will receive your scarf at a Zeughaus of your choice. Alternatively, you can log in to your account in the online Zeughaus and add your member’s scarf to your order free of charge (plus shipping costs if applicable).
Data changes
I have moved / changed my account, how do I inform you of the changes?
To change your address or contact details, you can send us an email with your new details or change them in your member profile in our online train house. You can also inform us of account changes by email. We need your signature for this. Simply download the account change form and send it to us.
My surname has changed. How can I change my membership card?
Please send a photo or copy of your marriage or divorce certificate or ID card by email to mitglieder@fc-union-berlin.de.
Registration
How do I register at the online Zeughaus?
You can easily register online on our website.
If you are already a member and do not yet have a Zeughaus account, please contact us by email at mitglieder@fc-union-berlin.de. We will then activate your access.
I am already registered and would like to add my membership number to it. How?
We normally use existing profiles for the creation of new memberships, provided they are available. To add the membership later, please contact us by email at mitglieder@fc-union-berlin.de.
Termination / Canxellation of Membership
When does my membership end?
Membership ends under the following conditions:
- Leaving of the member
- Death of the member
- Exclusion of the member
- Deletion of the member
How can I terminate my membership?
Membership can be terminated in writing with a notice period of 4 weeks to the end of the quarter. All you need to do is send a short email stating your membership number to mitglieder@fc-union-berlin.de
Can a membership be transferred?
Unfortunately, membership cannot be transferred. You must therefore cancel your membership and apply for a new one.
Family Membership
Who is included in the family membership?
A family membership consists of the head of the family and at least one child between the ages of 0 - 13.
How do you define family members?
The head of the family includes, for example, the father, mother, foster parents, adoptive parents or, if they live in the same household, the mother's or father's partner. Family membership is not possible for grandparents or aunt and uncle, etc.
How do I apply for family membership?
If you want to benefit from family membership, you can apply for family membership both online and on site at any of the three Union Zeughaus stores. You can complete our online membership application (please create a separate application for each member) or visit one of the Union Zeughaus stores.
Do children have the same rights as family members?
Children have the same rights as family members, though they are not entitled to vote at the general meeting. They only have this right from the age of 18.
Do families with a family membership have a joint membership account?
No, each member is created separately. Each member receives their own membership account and membership number.
Do I get tickets for the whole family with a family membership?
No, the family membership only applies to the reduced membership fees for children between the ages of 0 and 13. Each member can book a draw in the lottery, which entitles them to purchase a ticket if they win.
Do I get a new membership card as a family member?
No. The current membership cards remain valid. There are no separate membership cards for family memberships.
Are the membership fees of a child's collected from the parent's bank account?
Membership fees are collected from the account that was entered on the membership application.
Does anything change regarding the payment method & period with a family m.?
No, the payment method and payment period remain unchanged. Only the membership fee for a family child is collected annually.
My child is an active member of the club...
A transformation from an active membership to a family membership is not possible. Family membership only applies to passive members.
Does the family membership end automatically?
Yes, family membership ends automatically as soon as a child reaches the age of 13 and is transferred to youth membership. There is no separate information given about the changeover.
